A little bit about me…

Steph

Yep, that's me!

I am … A single mom, photographer, perpetual dieter, pizza connoisseur (hence the diet), work out geek, and lover of beautiful things that inspire.

I have always been the one behind the camera capturing moments since I was a little girl. 10 storage boxes of prints and negatives later, my mind was made up to be a photographer when I grew up. It was my major in college at Montclair State University. After graduating with my BFA, I began my career as an assistant to an architectural photographer as well as the studio/lab coordinator. A few year later, I was recruited by an advertising agency and worked in the corporate world until taking a job as marketing director for my family’s business. It was great money, but my dream of having my own photography business was put on hold.

After years of fine-tuning my craft as a hobbyist, I realized that I wasn’t doing what GOD was calling me to do. HE gave me a gift and I needed to use that gift to bring happiness to families in my community. I thank GOD everyday that HE showed me my true calling and allowed me the opportunity to share it with you.

My vision…

A great artist can see beauty in the mundane. A great photographer can capture it.

My style of photography is casual and relaxed. I like to capture you being yourself. It’s all about real life. Kids interacting with their brothers and sisters, smiles, giggles, an occasional tear, and the amazing looks of discovery and wonder that are all too quick to disappear. This is what I capture for you to preserve the memories of who you and your family are at that moment.  We are forever changing but your images are a recorded piece of history that you will cherish for a lifetime. Don’t wait for the “perfect time” to schedule your session. There is no perfect time. Life is not perfect. We are not perfect and that is what makes us beautiful. The time is now, so why not capture it!
