In a perfect world everybody would have professional family photos taken at least once a year! But life gets in the way, right? There’s all that carpooling and sports and projects to help with. Not to mention your own job whether that’s in the house or in an office or on the road. Life is busy, and everything is expensive! And yet, time goes quickly and before you know it your kids are grown and you never did take those family pictures when you meant to. It seems like yesterday that I had my first child and that was almost 10 years ago!!! School has already started again. Christmas is around the corner (wouldn’t you love to do a family Christmas card)? Then there are the holiday events with the BIG FAMILY and birthday parties and graduations and weddings and “Oh my!” it’s summer vacation again followed by back to school. You see where I am going with this. As the years roll on, the kids are changing so quickly and all the memories of them changing and growing are only in your head and maybe in a snapshot or two. But it doesn’t have to be time consuming or expensive to capture these moments in time and decorate your walls with these amazing gifts to your family and your families’ family down the road. You will not ever regret the few hundred dollars you will spend on family portraiture. Heck, do you have anything to show for the 5 times your family ate at Outback over the year? OK, besides maybe a pound or two from those darn Bloomin’ Onions!
I am so happy that I was able to capture this wonderfully fun family on a beautiful summer sunset evening at Ft. Desoto Park recently. Mom, did confess that she hadn’t had shots done in awhile and I am so happy that she called upon me to capture them!
